There is a growing concern of environmental issues and climate change, which is fuelling demand for sustainable products and design. There are currently many options and routes available from installing heat recovery systems, to harnessing solar energy and wind power. Each has it's own advantages as well as varying setup costs and return estimates. Often, a combination of two sources can be used very effectively in conjunction with one another to provide the most favourable results. For example, a new build family home has a heat recovery system installed and to power that photo voltaic solar panels are installed externally. In the event too much power is produced, it may be possible to sell the excess to your electricity supplier.
By integrating as many of the recommendations laid out in the Code for Sustainable Homes guidelines as possible and additional Passiv Haus specifications, we aim to work closely with approved energy consultants to make sure your design is as efficient and cost effective as possible.
As well as reducing the overall environmental footprint, other benefits include lower running costs and improved living standards. Currently government grants can be applied for. although this may cease in the near future.
